“Things that come at us obliquely until they are right in front of us. The events of our times, our wars past and present, the effects of human life on the planet, our limited time to understand our world, and the looming failure to solve our issues. This is where these disparate images come from before they are combined simply to create these works; two videos in a loop and enlargements from my collage series, “minor interventions”. Ultimately it is the queasy tension between these existential crises and the unlikely beauty found in the works themselves that achieves a focused interest in the singular, angular space of 7MQ.”

Gli eventi dei nostri tempi, le nostre guerre passate e presenti, gli effetti della vita umana sul pianeta, il nostro tempo limitato per comprendere il nostro mondo e l’incombente fallimento nel risolvere i nostri problemi. È da qui che provengono queste immagini disparate prima di essere semplicemente combinate per creare queste opere; due video in loop e ingrandimenti dalla mia serie di collage, “minor interventions”.
Alla fine, è la tensione nauseante tra queste crisi esistenziali e l’improbabile bellezza trovata nelle opere stesse che raggiunge un interesse focalizzato nello spazio singolare e angolare di 7MQ.”
